Pollution Control Board, Assam organized meet on 'Management of Bio-Medical Wastes'

STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: An awareness meeting on Management of Bio-Medical Wastes and implementation of Bar Code was organized by the Pollution Control Board, Assam in collaboration with M/s Fresh Air Waste Management Service Pvt. Ltd., the operator of Common Bio- Medical Waste Treatment Facility and Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya in Guwahati on Wednesday.[Also Read: The Meeting was presided over by renowned ophthalmologist and eye surgeon Dr. Harsha Bhattacharjee, the founder, President and Trustee of Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya, Guwahati. Dr. Kasturi Bhattachrjee, Director of Sri Sankardeva Nethralaya delivered the welcome address with warm greetings to the dignitaries and delegates of hospital, nursing home and diagnostic centres. Around 90 health care facilities of Kamrup (M) District participated in the awareness meet.
