Bb Pilipinas 2020 kicks off pre-pageant activities with photo shoot

Published March 17, 2021, 12:46 PM The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has resumed its pre-pageant activities with stunning photo shoot of its candidates. The theme of the pictorial is modern vintage which showcases the beauties in carnival-themed swimwear designed with opera coats. Joining the girls in the pictorial were veteran stylists and make-up artists were Justin Aliman and Patrick Henry, swimwear designer Domz Ramos, show designer Jojo Bragais, and photographer Raymond Saldana. The BPCI is expected to announce the official candidates of the prestigious national pageant after the photo shoots. In the original list, 40 candidates will vie for four Bb. Pilipinas crowns. But the number of candidates is expected to be reduced after some of them have competed abroad and the age requirement for several international competitions were changed.

endIndex: Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 10) - The Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. officially confirmed that current contestant Samantha Bernardo was appointed to represent the Philippines in the Miss Grand International pageant in Thailand in March. The local pageant explained reigning Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Aya Abesamis was not able to compete internationally due to the age limit, after the Miss Grand International pageant was delayed because of the pandemic. We extend our full support to her [Bernardo] in her quest to win the first MGI crown for the country, BPCI said in a statement. Also, our heart goes out to Aya Abesamis for being unable to join MGI 2020 due to age limit, caused by the delay of the MGI contest because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it added.
