ALBANY The state s mass-vaccination sites will allow all New Yorkers 16 and older to walk in without an appointment to receive a coronavirus vaccination, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said in a Tuesday afternoon event at Binghamton University.
The move is designed to combat vaccine hesitancy, and it reflects how the supply of the vaccines has outstripped demand, with hundreds of appointments available each day at many sites. Local and county sites may also open up to walk-ins, as New York City did last week.
