Kalani Sitake and Jay Hill, former co-workers at the University of Utah who have reunited at BYU, both want the same thing on their defensive front: monsters.
It had been more than 30 years since the Utah men’s basketball team had beaten BYU when the Cougars entered their rivalry game ranked. For the first time since Feb. 27, 1993, the Runnin’ Utes knocked off a Cougars team ranked in The Associated Press Top 25. This time, Utah beat No. 14 BYU 73-69 on Saturday night at the Huntsman Center.
Everything BYU did well during its 8-0 start came apart in the Cougars first (and only) true road test of nonconference play Saturday night at rival Utah.
