Bilpin community calls on tourists to visit over Easter02/04/2021|6min
Bilpin Cider CEO Sean Prendergast says he hopes people will travel to the Bilpin region over the Easter long weekend after it was cut off by the recent floods.
Mr Prendergast said the Windsor and North Richmond Bridges have reopened, but the Bells Line of Road remains closed after a landslide. “We’re still going to miss that traffic that’s moving west and then coming back from the west and that’s quite a severe roadblock and that could be out for six months,” he said.
Mr Prendergast told Sky News he’s “really hoping” people will visit despite the fact the region has been lost “as a route through the Blue Mountains into the west of New South Wales”.
