So, this panel is on radio and national heritage. And we are going to hear first from jane gilvin and ayda pourasad, of npr who will talk about how they created the npr Historical Archives. Ayda pourasad good morning, everybody. This is jane, my colleague. We are from the Research Archive and Data Strategy team at the National Public radio. We are known as rad. In our company. I got a grant in the Science Foundation to create the documentary and then create a series of programs at the National Space museum and so all we could bring who had been interviewed in the book came up to washington for an event and we had probably 89 at that point i called up and i said can you come and they said yes i can but one thing, my girlfriend has to come with me. I said your girlfriend, he said yes. Shes 90 and she doesnt get around very good. So his girlfriend is also more to them and they were on the council, the first africanamerican engineer for Julius Montgomerie who was the first africanamerican hired as a Cape Canaveral professor with the first africanamerican woman in space and who had have just gotten back from the interNational Space station like a week ago said youve got the whole legacy right up there at this table together.
