A missing 16yearold girl has been rescued and returned home after Authorities Say she was sold into Human Trafficking. Allie spillyards is in our newsroom with details. At a News Conference just a short time ago sheriff leon lott was joined by Richland Countys Human Trafficking task force. They told us that Human Trafficking isnt just something you see in the movies. Its a real problem all over our country, and Richland County is no exception. 22yearold Daytron Hoefer is now behind bars charged with Human Trafficking and kidnapping among other charges. They say this was a very typical Human Trafficking case. The victims mother reported her missing, and they soon learned hoefer had formed a relationship with the 16yearold before selling her for sex online. Human traffickings been on the rise in large cities nearby columbia over the last few years, including atlanta and charlotte. Sheriff lott says some of whats seen in Richland County travels in from those like this case, originate here

At this time, no suspect has been arrested. Allyson an upstate mother is in trouble with the law after her boyfriend was charged with stepping on her baby daughter. Leroy morris faces severerl charges, including unlawful conduct toward a c cld. Officers say he lives with whitney barnwell. Yesterday, officers filed similar charges against her. A judge denied bond for leroy morris. The mothers bond was set at 75,000. Right now, the child is at the Greenville Health system. Shes only 48daysold. Geoff in horry county, the cause of death of baby grace cruz has officially been ruled a drowning. As you may remember, her body was found in a creek in socastee back in november. They are survivors. Governor haley is stepping up to fight against Domestic Violence in the state. South carolina is still the number one estate in the country when it comes to cases of women killed by men and she is hoping to change that. This afternoon the governor unveiled the results of a yearlong study. She issued three executive orders today. She extended the work of her to mess Domestic Violence task force for another year. She is also ordering agencies that regularly screen people for assistance to look for signs of Domestic Abuse. We have more on what those actions will mean. One of life is too many.
