Corpus Christi City Council approved a $7,800,000 construction contract that will bring major improvements to the condition of Leopard Street's road and utilities.
City manager Peter Zanoni said the City is planning on using billboards and adding more to its website to communicate to residents about the dire need to conserve water.
With Corpus Christi city leaders considering enacting stage two water restrictions because of the continued drought, they also got an update on the status of proposed seawater desalination plants.
