accumulating. mostly on the elevated surfaces. so decks and stairs and places like that, not much of a report yet of any snow accumulating on the ground. especially not too much on the roads. welcomed news. temperatures are a couple of degrees above the freezing mark. of course, it can snow when the temperatures at surface are above freezing because it is below freezing higher up into the atmosphere. our forecast amounts of snow around the area today could get a couple of inches of snow on the ground here in the washington area. you can see the visibility now reduced visibility, especially to the west of washington. this is all going to be impressing our way as we go through the day. i would say on average, about two to maybe four inches of snow right around town. could see as much as three to six inches out in the western suburbs and out towards the shenandoah valley. i will have the timeline and talk more about our wintry forecast coming up. we will check with you in just
