When Florida reporters stood outside of the Hilton at Palm Beach International Airport this morning, ready to cover Gov. Ron DeSantis signing of a controversial voting-rights bill, they were told that media outlets would not be permitted inside. As it turned out, DeSantis had given exclusive access to a TV network that has been friendly to his party and to the bill: Fox News.
Confirmed: @CBS12 News is not allowed into the event where @GovRonDeSantis will sign a controversial elections bill into law, per @MadelineTV who is outside.

Standby Passengers at Center of Miami International Airport Brawl
CBS Miami, April 27, 2021
One person is charged with disorderly conduct following a brawl at Miami International Airport which was captured on video and has since gone viral.
Miami-Dade Police have identified him as Jameel Decquir, one of several people involved in the chaos on concourse D, gate 12, in the American Airlines terminal.
The passengers were waiting on their flight to Chicago when a group of people started fighting after being told there were just three standby seats available for their party of four.
A witness told CBSMiami.com there was some back and fourth with the agent and then the agent asked the next group of 3 if they wanted to go.
According to the police report, a total of four people were charged with disorderly conduct/breach of the peace. One of them was arrested and the other three remain at large. The incident description by the officer confirmed that an American Airlines counter agent had advised the four that there were only three standby seats available on a flight to Chicago, offering the option to travel together on a later flight, or have three of them take the earlier flight and one remain behind for the later flight.
