A POPULAR social club in Greenock is still going strong despite being down over £100,000 in trade this year. Bosses at the Regent Club say they have survived the pandemic thanks to the loyalty of their members and help from the council and Scottish Government. Even though coronavirus has been challenging for the committee and its members they have still managed to raise £500 for charity. John Gallacher, chair of the club, said: Since the pandemic we are down £120,000 but we are still here. We have survived due to loyalty - loyalty of our members, committee and staff. We have also been getting support from the Scottish Government and administered by the council.
