Families learned about their children’s education future with the closure of Washington Elementary School. The School District 2 administration met with parents on Wednesday night.
The Billings school board voted, 5-4, to keep "Assassination Classroom" in high school libraries. The board also decided to close Washington Elementary School, next school year.
One of six books that the Laurel School Board decided to not allow in the high school library on Monday is also an issue in School District 2. A board committee will meet on Monday to review the book.
The proposal is to turn Washington Elementary School into the Washington Innovative Center. But that means Washington students will have to go to a new school next year.
