LOWELL Pay and parity and intrigue led off Wednesday night’s School Committee meeting. In the end, a savvy negotiating tactic made by United Teachers of Lowell President Paul Georges won a contract for his members that pays all full-time union employees a one-time raise of $2,500 as well as a mid-year 2% increase.
LOWELL The School Committee will interview interim candidates for the superintendent position on June 24 to replace Superintendent of Schools Joel Boyd, who has served the district since 2019.
