Indigenes of Bille community in Degema Council of Rivers state have lamented an alleged invasion of their by men of the Nigeria Army in the early hours of yesterday.
Bille community in Rivers State has written to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Leo Irabor to withdraw soldiers of the Nigerian Army from the community and stop them from harassing residents. The letter dated Tuesday, September 6, 2022 was signed by the Chairman, Bille Community Welfare Association, Abuja, Elder Boma V. Benebo. SaharaReporters earlier reported that there was tension in Bille in the Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, following the invasion of the area by soldiers on Tuesday morning.
