All this success lead to Headstrong winning two
Billboard Music Awards in 2003 for Best Modern Rock Track and Best Rock Track .
According to Wikipedia, Headstrong was rated the No. 1 alternative song and No. 8 rock song of the 2000s by
Billboard.
But you can t please everybody. In a 2018 poll done by UltimateGuitar.com, Headstrong was voted the fourth worst guitar riff of all time.
Trapt released a new album in 2020, but it was kind of a flop. It didn t even chart on the Billboard 200 album charts. Then in 2021, the drummer, Michael Smith, quit due to disagreements with the lead singer. Lead singer, Chris Taylor Brown, had been using the group s social media pages to be very outspoken about his political beliefs. The band s socials were even suspended for awhile due to Brown s actions. I guess you could say Chris Taylor Brown is pretty headstrong and is willing to take on anyone .
