To our knowledge, of firms that will be requiring personnel to return to the office in 2021, this is the latest reopening date that’s been announced yet. The firm’s decisions on hybrid schedules have yet to be announced, but earlier this week, managing partner Bill Malley said, “We’re considering that whole range of issues. We know that firms are landing all over the map. A reason we’re taking our time here is that we want to get it right.” For the time being, it looks like lawyers will be coming into the office a set number of days (days they’ll able to choose themselves), while staff remote options will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. “For staff that have fixed work schedules [that will dictate their in-office requirements].
