Keegan walks away from Dundalk role

Dundalk s rocky start to the season has continued with news breaking this morning that team manager Shane Keegan has walked away from the club ahead of their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash with St Patrick s Athletic at Oriel Park tonight.
The Laois man was appointed as the top man at the start of the season after the club made a decision to demote Filippo Giovagnoli from head coach to coach.
The Italian still remained in charge of all affairs at the Co Louth club with Keegan s input in first-team matters thought to be extremely limited.

DUNDALK STAR MICHAEL Duffy has signed a new contract with the Lilywhites, making him the club’s fifth player to pen a new deal ahead of the 2021 campaign.
The 26-year-old Duffy joins David McMillan, Daniel Kelly, Sean Murray and Cameron Dummigan, who all committed their future to Dundalk over the Christmas period.

JOHN GILES is looking forward to getting his coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday and has urged others to get the jab.
The Republic of Ireland and Leeds United legend was speaking on Claire Byrne Live on RTE 1 on Monday and told the host: I ve no concerns about it at all - adding that he had taken vaccines for other ailments in the past.
