A reply to Laurentian University s perfect storm Back to video I read Jim Moodie’s article in the Sudbury Star of May 11 with surprise.  Surprise that we had finally heard, albeit indirectly, from some of Laurentian University’s important decision-makers, but also that excuses were offered instead of contrition and apologies. If you missed it, Moodie reported on a letter written to Shelly Tapp, deputy minister of Colleges and Universities, signed by former LU president Dominic Giroux and former chairs of the board, Floyd Laughren, Michael Atkins and Jennifer Witty. Current board chair Claude Lacroix was not reported as having signed it.
