Given they fear for their lives. None of the people we have lked to came without a smuggler. So we read reports where they say about half of people dont use a smuggler to cross a border. We havent come across with that to be the case. That iher issue is lost the train of thought. H the train. When you look at the numbers, its perhaps might be one in four or five people who use the train. So the issue is not the train alone but the whole journey itself that gets people through the United States from mexico. Im a by product of the cold war. I left my country for political reasons and crossed the board in the 1980s. And train or no train, i was going to leave the country. So i think we are going through the same experiences today but in different circumstances. I think were going to have to call it a day. I think that all of us, we have to bring what is uniquely us to the table. And work within that. And thats sometimes what people around the world dont understand. Loved. President bush and barbara bush and so i was very aware when george ran for president that, you know, that youre always going to be characterized in a way that you arent really. And so i dont think it was any big surprise to me. That doesnt make doesnt make it any less hurtful. But on the other hand, anyone in a leadership position of any sort knows youre going to be criticized and its hard. Thats absolutely true. Thats really the role of leadership. Its not about amassing power. Its taking some of those hits and continuing to do the work. Even when its painful. And sometimes unappreciated. Thats why its important for all of us to have a vision. As first spouses. If you have a vision, you know what youre passionate about and you know what direction youre going in, then all of the arrows and the spears and the criticisms, they just, they bounce off of you. Good evening and welcome to tonights feature debate between Dinesh Dsouza and bill ayers. Im a junior at dartmouth and the current editor and chief of the dartmouth review.
