Does Chhattisgarh have a “vaccine apartheid”? By prioritising the poorest of the poor in its vaccine drive with limited supplies, the state government has triggered a debate over medical vulnerability versus income disparity advertisement UPDATED: May 11, 2021 22:59 IST Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel receives a COVID-19 vaccine dose in Raipur, on April 9, 2021; (PTI Photo) On May 2, the Chhattisgarh government began vaccinations in the 18-44 age category, a mammoth effort given the sheer size of this age group and the national shortages in vaccine supply.
