Just last year nearly 50 people were killed by vehicles. So far this year, 8 pedestrians have died. Vanderbilt University and Walk Bike Nashville are honoring the lives lost in 2022.
Sunday is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and Nashville is on pace to having its deadliest year on record for pedestrians and cyclists.
It’s not normal to find kids riding their bikes or families walking their dogs down the middle of a busy street, but you’ll be able to see it this weekend in East Nashville.
