Uniindia: Dhaka, Oct 17 (UNI) Protest demonstrations denouncing the communal attacks on Hindu temples, idols and properties during the Durga Puja celebrations were held across Bangladesh on Saturday, even as fresh incidents of attacks on members of the minority Hindu community and their property were reported in Feni, in southeastern Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad has stated that on October 16, they will lead a demonstration against violence and vandalism directed at the Hindu community.
Despite a strong vigil by law enforcers for ensuring peaceful Durga Puja celebrations, zealots beat and stabbed a man to death at a temple in Noakhali as idols, houses and shops of the Hindu community came under attack in different places yesterday.
