A half-dozen or so lakes in the Detroit Lakes area were hard-hit by winterkill, including Waboose, Height of Land, Rock, Bijou, Shell and Tamarack lakes.
The female inmate reportedly “slipped” her wrist cuffs and attempted to escape the hospital grounds. The woman’s ankles remained cuffed and she was apprehended near the hospital helicopter pad.
