Patna (Bihar) [India], April 19 (ANI): Three police officers have succumbed to COVID-19 in two days in Bihar s Patna, confirmed Bihar Police Association Chief Mrityunjay Singh on Monday.
The deceased officers have been identified as Inspector Trilok Nath Rai posted at Motihari and Inspector of Special Branch Jaidev Bhagat, Both have died on Sunday. While another Inspector Raj Kishor Prasad has lost his life today (Monday) due to the lack of Oxygen.
The BPA president in a letter addressed to the Director General of Police also urged the department to arrange beds in the hospitals for the policemen who infected for the virus and their family members.

photograph of a pair of funeral pyres. Urmila Devi, 70, had died of a heart attack after hearing about her sonâs mob lynching. Her son, Ashwini Kumar, station house officer of Kishanganj town in Bihar, was lynched by a mob at Pantapara village in Bengalâs North Dinajpur, where he was leading a police team in pursuit of a man suspected of motorbike theft. They were cremated together at their Panchu Mandal Tola village in Purnea.

A Bihar police officer was allegedly beaten to death by a mob in West Bengal’s north Dinajpur district in the early hours of Saturday.
Ashwini Kumar, the station house officer of the Kishanganj town police station in Bihar, had gone for a raid at Pantapada village in north Dinajpur district of West Bengal in connection with a motorcycle theft case. Kishanganj shares its border with north Dinajpur district of West Bengal.
The police officer allegedly got no support from the local West Bengal police. He was beaten with sticks and the mob threw stones at him. He was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
