The U.S. Air Force's iconic B-52 bomber was ingeniously designed with landing gear that can be positioned up to 20 degrees left or right of the centerline for both takeoff and landing.
Airmen took turns flying the bomber to the Adirondacks and Fort Drum Army Base and practiced mid-air refueling with a KC-135 tanker from the 328th Refueling Squadron out of Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.
