donald trump and joe biden about a third of them say they don t know about ron desantis to make a judgment. the other third saying they don t like him. they use words like wannabe dictator, wildcard. he just wants to take over. they view him as isolating. and these are overwhelming republican voters who could vote for him as president. that s definitely not a good sign. here s the other data point from last week. thesare fundraising numbers. desantis had a big top line. really when you dig into the top numbers, you re talking 19 million raised. 12 million in the bank, 3 million of that is reserved for later, for the general election if he ts there. look at that number for small donors, 15%. that s a very small donor number, in a world where donald trump is also in the field and raises so much money from donors. a lot of desantis donors after this quarter are actually always
you can reform entitlements and cut spending that way, you can cut federal programs and reduce overall budget of the united states or you can raise taxes or a final one, implement fees. there s a lot of small provisions within this bill as it currently stands that would result in tax increases for people under $400,000. things like tobacco hikes, additional taxes in various provisions that would result not in the big top line corporate tax hike but cuts that will impact the americans budget at the end of the day and may not notice how much it creeps up. that s how we have to be careful when we look at this frame work that comes out. whatever negotiations the white house is having right now, it s not only what are those big numbers that they re going to be selling, but also what are the smaller provisions that will result in a lot of small tax hikes for the american people. charles: sarah, ronald reagan said once that with respect
was revealed the president congratulated vladimir putin after his aide said do not congratulate in all caps and notes and that further led to a cut on the list. so basically what we found is from john bolton, the national security adviser, he was given specific instructions from the president to do even more than had been done previously, and to make sure as few people as possible were on calls, and got transcripts of the calls. and now, there s a big top line that says eyes only, no copies, on top of all of the calls that go to agencies and go to others in the white house, so they can t be disseminated any further. josh, the white house explanation for this, you hear, is that this was about preventing leaks. solely about preventing leaks. is that a substantive defense? well, the president is very focused on leaks. i think all presidents are, to some extent but this president, you know, really has homed in on that on a number of occasion, dozens of occasions, one, who the leakers a
going to be on trying to satisfy the ex pepectations of those constituents who elected them to begin with. the challenge is whether or not for them to breakthrough at the local level whether they can breakthrough the negativity and the constant distraction that s coming out of the white house. we ll see. the president wants to tackle infrastructure, james. he wants to get democrats on board to do this. what is the likelihood that democrats will want to work with the president on anything and even a bill that they want? well, it seems to me from what i am hearing about, president trump says what the infrastructure bill has to look like. at least his perception of it of what the democrats want, there is so many other big top line battles that have to be fought here. they have to fund the government and the democrats want some sort
we have learned about what happened behind those doors. here s senator blumenthal. it was a counterintelligence investigation before now. it seems to me now to be considered a criminal investigation. there is mounting evidence of obstruction of justice. no conclusion yet that there was but that evidence needs to be pursued. senator blumenthal and senator graham. sunlen is out front at capitol hill. sunlen, this is a significant development. as you heard senator santorum say here, the deputy attorney general saying he knew jim comey was going to be fired before he wrote that controversial memo. that is a significant development also. it is. i can tell you after talking to many senators after the breeflg today that was notable, a big top line of the briefing today, the fact that rosenstein got so many questions about the detail of the memo and the impression that both democrats and
