The Nebraska women’s basketball team earned a bid to the 32-team Postseason WNIT, when selections for the field were announced on Monday, March 15.
The Huskers finished the regular season with 12-12 overall record that included a 9-10 Big Ten Conference mark. Nebraska, which posted five wins over NCAA Tournament teams (Rutgers, Northwestern-2, Michigan State, Idaho State) will be the Big Ten’s lone representative in the Postseason WNIT.
This year’s tourament will start with eight teams at each of four regional sites Charlotte, N.C.; Fort Worth, Texas; Memphis, Tenn.; and Rockford, Ill. First-round play begins Friday, March 19; Round 2 is March 20, and Round 3 is March 22. The four regional champions will advance to the Memphis site, with the semifinals tipping off March 26 and the championship game set for March 28.

Tip-off between the No. 8 seed Huskers (12-11, 9-10 Big Ten) and the top-seeded and No. 7/8 nationally ranked Terrapins (21-2, 17-1 Big Ten) is set for 10 a.m. (CT) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Huskers Open Big Ten Tournament with Minnesota
The Nebraska women’s basketball team begins postseason tournament play this week when the Huskers travel to Indianapolis for the 2021 Big Ten Tournament.
The No. 8 seed Huskers (11-11, 9-10 Big Ten) tip-off tournament play on Wednesday by battling No. 9 seed Minnesota (8-12, 7-11 Big Ten) at 10 a.m. (CT) Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The game will be televised live by the Big Ten Network, while fans can also follow Nebraska with the Husker Sports Network call of Matt Coatney and
Jeff Griesch across the radio network stations, the Huskers App and Huskers.com.
Although Nebraska enters the tournament with a higher seed than the Golden Gophers, Minnesota swept the season series with the Huskers. Minnesota defeated Nebraska 73-63 in Minneapolis (Feb. 24).
Huskers Return to Big Ten Road Play at Penn State The Nebraska women’s basketball team takes aim at its third straight Big Ten road win when the Huskers travel to University Park to face Penn State on Thursday. Tip-off between the Big Red (9-5, 7-4 Big Ten) and the Lady Lions (6-7, 3-6 Big Ten) at the Bryce Jordan Center is set for 5 p.m. (CT).
