Seven and
Theater of Blood were inspired by the theme of the seven deadly sins. “Sin is defined as ‘an offense against the religious or moral law’ and a ‘transgression of the law of God,’” according to Lori Wildenberg in her article on the seven deadly sins. But are there really seven sins that are particularly bad, and which could possibly separate someone from the love of God forever?
What Are the Seven Deadly Sins?
Lust, sloth, greed, gluttony, wrath, envy, and pride are considered to be the worst sins imaginable. “The early Roman Catholic Church taught that these sins could not be forgiven,” according to Roger Barrier.
The Big Takeaway:
Jacob Fatu successfully defended the MLW World title against ACH, but Jordan Oliver and Myron Reed had the last laugh of the night by attacking Fatu and Daivari.
Show Review:
We opened with the news that broke mid-week regarding ACH being attacked outside of his gym with rumors flying that Tom Lawlor and Team Filthy were responsible. Last week, Lawlor complained that ACH was getting a title shot ahead of him after Lawlor had won the 2020 Opera Cup. Later in the show, Lawlor blew off the allegation and hyped up his Filthy Island launch coming up on February 17th. However, ACH was able to identify Dominic Garrini s voice during the attack.
Reckoning debuted on Main Event getting her first solo win since she turned heel and joined Retribution.
Reckoning (w/ Retribution) defeated Niki Cross (5:12)
Mia Yim has certainly paid her dues in the wrestling industry. Having worked her way through the indies before appearing on Impact and working on NXT, at the age of 31, she joined Retribution back in September under the name Reckoning.
This was only her third match and first win under the new moniker, having lost her debut on Raw to Dana Brooke and the subsequent mixed tag with Slapjack against Brooke and Ricochet the following week.
Cross really took a beating with Reckoning looking like a dominant heel if ever there was one. Retribution looked on with delight as she went to work on Cross who only got some brief shine in the closing moments.
