(WCSC) - It may be a challenging time ahead as a “big surge” in COVID-19 cases is expected, according to a COVID-19 tracking expert at the Medical University of South Carolina. “I think we’re going to see a big surge coming up,” said Michael Sweat, Ph.D, who is the leader of the COVID tracking team at MUSC. “South Carolina is starting to light up. The numbers here aren’t as bad as they are in a lot of other places, but the growth rate is not looking good.”
