it is almost ominous where the car halts right where this kid is standing. the kid ski dadles off-screen. then he starts to run because, well, because someone just tossed him a football. few seconds later, this cop is in the frame. then you realize, he is the one that threw the ball. he sends the kid keep. ominous, heck, it is just a game of catch. i got out and i think the universal sign that everyone knows for throwing a football. i held my hands up in a triangle form. reporter: the kid, 10-year-old jermaine ford. i thought that he was in trouble and i did something wrong. something snapped in his head and he s like, hey, this guy s here to play football with me. reporter: when the police department posted the video online, it drew a million hits within hours. people drawing the connection between a cop and kid who never even asked each other s names, until they met again for another catch. everyone that sees it has probably at one time thought they were that kid.
