through. it had problems on each side, didn t it? it did. it was like fruitcake. nobody really liked it and it was jam packed with all sorts of stuff. the issue was that gun control advocates like senator dianne feinstein had an issue with the bill because there was a large carve-out for the nra making it exempts from some of legislation in the bill. and labor unions, who had supported the house version of the bill because it had carve-outs for labor unions didn t support the senate version of the bill which did not have the labor union carve-out and republicans didn t support the bill on whole because they stand to share in the windfall of money that would come from corporations and businesses in the runup to the mid-term elections. so to clarify, the disclose act required big-money interest to disclose who supplied the money for the campaign ads, except, of course, for some big-moneyed interest that were
