£184,000 lottery cash boost for Ipsum Swindon to help young people s mental health

A mental health charity has won a £184,000 lottery cash boost to help tackle isolation among young people. Ipsum Swindon will get the money over the next three years from the Big Lottery Foundation for its youth project, which aims to increase opportunities for those aged 11 upwards suffering from mental health issues. The charity in Milton Road uses arts and music to help youngsters deal with issues like loneliness and isolation. Director Julie Mattinson said: “We are excited to now be in a position to offer creative-arts-based activities for those of our community’s younger generation struggling with their mental health.
