Debate Club students from Kealakehe Intermediate School and Konawaena Middle School recently visited the Keahuolū Courthouse to learn about the three branches of government, courtroom procedures and employment opportunities within the judicial system.

The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Water Supply is now accepting entries for its 3rd Annual Keiki Water Conservation Poster Contest.
This yearʻs poster theme is “Do Your Part, Be Water Water Smart,” which aims to highlight the importance of water conservation. The contest is open to all Big Island kindergarten to fifth grade students.
Submissions must be original artwork done on flat 11×17 inch paper. They can be done via any medium except for three-dimensional renderings, chalk, charcoal and oil-based crayon. No computer graphics or photographs will be accepted.
There is no charge to enter.
