The affordable Huawei Mate 40E has been officially presented
Huawei today officially unveiled its new Huawei Mate 40E smartphone, which will join the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro + and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design models.
The new Mate 40E smartphone has almost the same specifications as the standard version of the Mate 40. The main difference is the Kirin 990E 5G SoC used, while the Mate 40 is equipped with the Kirin 9000E SoC.
That is, this is the most affordable version of the Huawei Mate 40, which is available with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory for $ 700 and with 8/256 GB of storage for $ 780. Acceptance of pre-orders has already begun, and sales in China will start on March 18th.

Huawei Mate Xs vs. Mate X2

The Nova 8 packs a 6.57-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate and houses a 32MP camera inside the punch-hole, and the 8 Pro pack a 6.72-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate and houses a 32MP ultra-wide camera along with a 16MP portrait camera inside the punch-hole. These are powered by Kirin 985 SoC with 8GB of RAM.
The phones use AG anti-glare glass technology on the back that reflects light at certain angles. These feature in-display fingerprint scanner, run Android 10 with EMUI 11 with HMS, pack 3800mAh and 4000mAh battery, respectively with 66W SuperCharge fast charging via USB Type-C.
Huawei Mate 40 sells out instantly on multiple platforms
With the ban on Huawei by the U.S., the company is struggling to meet up with the demand for the Mate 40 series. The Huawei Mate 40 was released in October this year. This smartphone comes with a 5nm SoC Kirin 9000E chip. This device went on pre-order today and its first outright sale will take place on December 21st. According to a report by the Financial Associated Press, after the pre-sale of the Huawei Mate 40 commenced at 10 o’clock (Chinese time), it instantly sold out on Huawei’s official website, Taobao, Jingdong, and other major platforms.
