analyst steve hollings, new yorker washington correspondent ryan lizza is joining us, david gergen and gloria borger, paul bell b be begala. i would argue this was the worst day of his 60-day presidency and that the role road ahead is pretty perilous for him because they now have this big cloud hanging over the white house. today was the day that donald trump s own fbi director said that the president was wrong, that president obama did not wi wiretap his phone and made it clear that there was an ongoing
testimony to president trump? i think this was the most damaging day for the young administration. there is this big cloud hanging over the administration and no administration likes to operate that way. we saw sean spicer, the president s press secretary, going out today and say nothing has changed. but, in fact, everything has changed because the fbi director came out and said that donald trump s tweets about barack obama wiretapping him were wrong and there has not been any acknowledgement of that from the white house at all. and then allowed publicly, which as mike says, is unprecedented, that there is this investigation into associates of donald trump. and i think it s something that they re going to have to be pushing back against, but it s very difficult when you don t know exactly what the investigation is.

president on that, gregg. i think 2014 is shaping up to be a pretty good year for the private economy. gregg: really? but you know what? if you were to ask what is the one big negative, what is the big cloud hanging over the economy right now, holding back that breakthrough year we re waiting so long for is obamacare. all you have to do is talk to small employers around the country, they say they re on hold in terms of hiring more workers in terms of expanding their businesses. this is the really big negative for 2014. and the problem is, gregg, is the year progresses, and we get closer and closer to that new employer mandate that will take place on january 1, 2015, you may see a lot of, millions of more americans losing their health care which will be a major problem come election time in november. gregg: the ad also shows that the second strategy here by republicans is, we are going to tie everyone of those democratic u.s. senate candidates directly
