it s the continental shelf so all of this water goes on top of shallow ground and then when you talk about the tide so the natural rise in water, 16 feet with waves on top of that? i mean, it s devastating for this region. i m so concerned for the people who decided to ride it out. i was listening to the first responders saying we re not going to be able to get to you. ainsley: cedar key you have mentioned that. that little island the closist big city is gainesville but it s out there. and there is one little bridge. janice: you are cut off. ainsley: 100 residents decided to stay and they say every home could be flooded. and we saw that, remember, with ian we saw was it sanibel island and remember the governor built that bridge back very quickly so he was praised for that but you worry about the families that are there. janice: still people can t get into their homes.
