Eskom announced on Friday that it will suspend load shedding as demand declined ahead of the weekend.
This after the power utility had implemented stage 2 load shedding between 10pm and 5am on Wednesday and Thursday.
Though load shedding has been suspended because the demand for electricity has dropped, Eskom still requested that South Africans continue use electricity sparingly as the system remained vulnerable.

After a memorable first round which saw last season s semi-finalists Raja Casablanca dumped out by the Senegalese champions, the 16 teams have been placed into four pots to be drawn into four groups tomorrow.
The seeding is based on the five-year CAF ranking system, which is based on performances in the Champions League and Confederation Cup.
This favours Mosimane s Ahly, who hold the most points (69) meaning they cannot be drawn with Wydad Casablanca, Esperance and TP Mazembe, who also hold a place in Pot 1.

Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat believes they can go all the way in the CAF Champions League after their historic group stage feat.
Chiefs have qualified for the Champions League group stage for the first time in the club s history after beating Angolan outfit Primeiro de Agosto 1-0 on Tuesday.
Amakhosi now join African giants in the likes of Al Ahly, Wydad Casablanca, TP Mazembe, Esperance de Tunis and local rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the round-robin phase of the competition.
Billiat, who was part of the historic Sundowns squad that won their maiden continental title under Pitso Mosimane in 2016, has emphasised the desire to go on and achieve the same feat with the Soweto giants.
As a result, the Msimbazi-based charges have now been placed in Pot 3 alongside Petro de Luanda of Angola, the winner between Sudanese outfit Al Hilal and Asante Kotoko of Ghana and MC Alger of Algeria.
Pot 1 is made up of Al Ahly of Egypt, Morocco s Wydad Casablanca, Esperance de Tunis from Tunisia and Tout Puissant Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Zamalek of Egypt are in Pot 2 alongside Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Horoya AC of Guinea and AS Vita Club of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa, Sudan s Al-Merrikh, Algerian outfit CR Belouizdad, and Teungueth of Senegal have been placed in Pot 4.

Diana died in a car crash seven months later, aged 36, so did not live to see her work pay off with an international treaty to ban landmines.
Documents released by the National Archives in Kew, south-west London show she was already planning the next step in her crusade.
Roger Hart, UK ambassador in the Angolan capital Luanda, briefed the Foreign Office about Diana’s “excellent” four-day visit arranged by the British Red Cross.
He said: “The British Red Cross were pleased and so was the Princess of Wales. It was the first overseas trip that she has undertaken since agreeing to support the mine ban.”
