School senior Bidensky Termidor in water nearly 20 minutes after end-of-year jump from dock leads to search

A doctor pronounced him dead at the hospital at 3:50 p.m. Friday evening, according to an Indian River County Sheriff’s Office report. A Vero Beach police officer made the first 911 call about a possible drowning at the school at 2:49 p.m. Lt. Phil Huddy couldn’t jump into the water to help look for Termidor because of a broken leg, said Master Police Officer Darrell Rivers. Huddy called 911 and performed CPR on Termidor after he was found in the water by a classmate and an off-duty Brevard County firefighter. Termidor was in the water about 10 minutes before his classmates realized he was missing, according to the Sheriff’s Office report.
