President Joe Biden hosted Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the White House Monday for a series of bilateral discussions, just two days before the president is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in San Francisco for a long-awaited summit.
Wednesday's face-to-face meeting on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit will be the first between Biden and Xi in a year.
Joe Biden, upon meeting Xi Jinping, will catch up with the same kind of bonhomie old friends bonhomise over. It is equally unlikely that the free-spirited Biden will follow the footsteps of Geet Dhillon in the 2007 romcom Jab We Met, and get Xi to let go .
