i m gillian turner in for martha. breaking right now on this special edition of the story, we re learning more about the two dozen hostages released by hamas. here s red cross vans carrying them to safety a short while ago. among them, 13 israelis including young mothers like danielle and her mother, daron asher and her daughters. now, to the dismay of many people today, no americans have been freed as originally thought. president biden says he doesn t know as of now when they will be. meanwhile, prime minister benjamin netanyahu s senior adviser is standing by to give us more details. we begin first with fox team coverage, lucas tomlinson with president biden in nantucket. first, trey yingst on the ground in southern israel. here at the air base, some of those released hostages are receiving the first medical treatment in israel before they are taken to other regional hospitals. this has been a day of anticipation. so many across this country waiting to see if their l
war and 150 palestinians held in israeli jails. that pause in hostilities a critical demand by the white house to permit the delivery of more fuel and other humanitarian aid. really now the ball is in hamas court. if hamas has any care or concern for continuing a pause in the hostilities and any sense of responsibility, it will continue to release hostages and this pause can continue. the agreement calls for more hostages to be released depending on whether the pause in fighting holds. the first hostages expected to come out tomorrow. there will be ten women and children believed to include american 3-year-old aigail, a day before her 4th birthday. with me one of the key negotiators for the u.s. a live report from rome where pope francis met with families of some of the israeli hostages and with palestinians who had relatives in the war-torn gaza. good day, everyone. i m andrea mitchell in washington. after 46 days, nearly a dozen hamas hostages will soon be freed.
announcer: this is cnn breaking news. you re watching cnn news central. i m boris sanchez in washington. we want to talk about the breaking news at a new york border crossing. the fbi is investigating a vehicle explosion there. this is at the rainbow bridge, u.s./canada border crossing. it s get to brynn gingras with the latest details. reporter: the fbi, the atf, the joint terrorism task force, federal authorities on the u.s. side and on the canada side are monitoring the situation trying to figure out what happened. what we know is that there was a car crossing into the u.s. from canada and what has been described as a crash at that crossing there at the rainbow bridge. then, a subsequent explosion is what the fbi is describing. whether or not this was sinister is not clear at this point. as you can imagine, at this point of entry it s going to be an uptick in security across that area. that is what we re seeing currently in response as this is still being investiga
