Unlike the slow burn love stories of the Korean dramas she binges on, Vice President Leni Robredo’s love story with her late husband, former Interior Secretary and Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo, was a whirlwind romance.
Describing their love story as “one heck of a rollercoaster ride,” Robredo shared that they had “25 blissful years together” until the plane crash that took Jesse away from her and their three daughters.

THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Wednesday that dredging in three parts of the Marikina River identified as priority areas will be substantially complete by the end of April.
The dredging works are expected to improve the flow of the Marikina River and minimize the flooding risk after its waters rose during the typhoons that hit the country late last year.
The DPWH is helping the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) rehabilitate the Marikina River basin.
“By the end of April, we will see a significant accomplishment of this dredging activity in time, for the months of May and June, the time when typhoons usually start entering the country,” DPWH Engineer Jerry A. Fano said during the launch of the Marikina River Rehabilitation project Wednesday.

PILI, CAMARINES SUR, Jan. 12 (PIA) – The tail-end of Frontal System (Shear line) dampened and flooded most parts of Camarines Sur, coupled with the interaction of cold weather and heavy to intense rain showers during the weekend.
This has resulted to the rise of water level and flooding in low-lying areas in the province, specifically noticed in spillways and rivers.
Soil erosion was also reported along national and provincial roads which alerted the Environment, Disaster Management, and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO) of the provincial government. Various MDRRMOs were directed to check on their respective areas of responsibilities to avoid any untoward incident from occurring.
