Speaking about the development, Deputy Inspector General (Intelligence) Krishnendu Chakravertty said the ultras surrendered at the Tripura Police’s Special Branch headquarters in Agartala.
Tripura saw massive bloodshed at the hands of several outlawed outfits like NLFT, ATTF, UBLF, TNV etc since the 1980s till early 2000s. All these outfits barring NLFT were dissolved by a combination of counter insurgency operations and attractive packages announced by the state government under former chief minister Manik Sarkar.
The arrested trio was identified as Ganaram alias Baileng, and Rai Bahadur Reang, both hailing from Bhagichandra Para of Anandabazaar village in North Tripura district, and Rai Taingha Reang from Khasnam Para.
