administration media matters hold weekly strategy discussions with the white house about how to hurt its political enemies. media matters kept an enemies list of republicans to destroy including steve king of iowa. this is a violation of federal tax law. tax-exempt nonprofits cannot function as an arm of a political party. media matters clearly does. according to a piece in the new republic, a liberal magazine, media matters changed its mission during the 2016 democratic primaries to campaign hillary clinton. we were running defense for clinton one staffer said. defending him orhe from every blogger in the mother s basement. in a late 2015 memo from insiden clinton s campaign staff discussed cooperating, coordinating, colluding with media matters to attack republicans and accuse the press of bias coverage of hillary. in an email from january 5th 2016 hillary s staff discussed working with media matters to counter a vanity fair piece on

everything he s complaining about is not actually a personal attack. he s complaining about bad coverage. the problem is i don t understand and i don t think anybody understands. most people don t like the media and find them the a nuisance but they re not obsessed with them to the point where they ll extort them to get good coverage. this is where we ll have to agree to disagree when we talk about the president pushing back. i like the fact when the president is pushing back on erroneous news reports or what he sees as bias coverage and again that s something where trump supporters see his push back and they like it? you might view it as being too much. i don t think most of us as trump supporters do. i want to thank everybody. is president trump undermining
