The Lamborghini Aventador has had such a long life cycle that we’ve lost count of how many derivatives the V12 raging bull has received since 2011. We do remember one of the first ones – the Aventador J – a roofless take on Sant’Agata Bolognese’s supercar created in early 2012 as a one-off for a wealthy buyer. The spirit of the 700-horsepower J is alive and well nearly nine years later with the unveiling of the SC20.

World renowned Italian automaker Lamborghini has revealed their SC20 supercar which features a V12 engine, in-depth details and design, and as well as the roofless characteristic - yes, it has no roof and no windshield.
The new car from the Italian automaking royalty was reported to be engineered by the Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing division, and the design was crafted and created by the known Centro Stile of the international architectural firm Design International.
Lamborghini also revealed that the car was commissioned to be made, and that the one to do so was fully involved in the whole process of designing it, even way back to the time that the designs were as early as a sketch. Does your track car really need a roof, or indeed a windshield? That’s the question posed by the Lamborghini SC20 by Squadra Corse, the automaker’s newest – and among its most rare – sports car that, though legal for the road, is really intended to make its mark on the track.
A one-off creation by Lamborghini’s motorsport division, it’s the design handiwork of Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Built to order for one lucky – and presumably wealthy – customer, it comes roughly two years after Squadra Corse’s last custom build, the SC18.
