As COVID-19 cases skyrocket, private hospitals have like last year tied up with
hotels to function as satellite units and
house patients not in critical condition. This helps facilities use limited infrastructure judiciously, with beds inside hospitals dedicated to serious cases. Doctors have said the response has been good so far.
The outposts offer round-the-clock medical supervision of doctors and nurses on each floor, a comprehensive
COVID care plan, healthy nutritious meals and daily in-person monitoring by trained staff. Some are also providing video consultancy and ambulance transfer in case of emergency.
