Despite his links to the taxi industry in PMB, slain EFF ward councillor candidate Thulani Shangase’s murder was not related to the violence in the industry.
The family of the late EFF election candidate Thulani Shangase, who was gunned down in Herwood, just outside Pietermaritzburg on Sunday, want to meet with the two dominant political parties in the area before his funeral on Saturday.
Thulani Shangase, an EFF ward councillor candidate and member of the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) from Plessislaer in the Msunduzi local municipality, was gunned down on Sunday after returning from an EFF campaign in Dambulla.
