Strict steps are taken against those who do not wear masks in Bhatkal to prevent corona; fined with Covid test
Bhatkal: 1 February 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Since the news of Covid-19 came to light from different places in the State, the State government has become more alert in this regard and an order has been given by the government to take more precautionary steps to avoid it.
In this respect, in Bhatkal today, Municipal Corporation and JaliPattan Panchayat jointly took action against those who did not wear masks in front of the Old Bus Stand Municipal Building and were also subjected to a Covid test after imposing fines on them.

Road Accident on Bhatkal National Highway: woman in a car severely injured
Bhatkal: 26, January 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision between Tempo Trax and a car on Bhatkal National Highway in front of Nishat Nursing Home this afternoon. Following first aid at Bhatkal Government Hospital, she was rushed to Mangalore. The woman has been reported as a resident of Honnavar, Bibi Ghousia.
According to sources, when it collided with a tempo truck coming from the opposite direction, the car was going to Kundapur, resulting in the crash. In the collision, the front of the two vehicles were badly injured. For some time after the accident, the traffic system was affected, after which the police removed the vehicles from the highway and cleared the road.

Bhatkal: 21 January 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Mini Vidhan Sodha structure, which was authorized in Bhatkal as a result of former MLA Mankal Vidya’s efforts during former Chief Minister Siddaramayy’s tenure, is expected to be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Revenue, Mr. R. Ashok, on 25 January.
In this regard, Assembly member Sunil Naik visited the site and reviewed the arrangements, and also provided the Assistant Commissioner and Tehsildar with the requisite instructions in this regard.

Bhatkal: 17 January 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) There has been a disagreement between the parties in Bhatkal over the development of Murin Katta at a site adjacent to the Nawayat Colony National Highway. The two appear to be at odds about their specifications. On the one side, Muslim leaders claim that it is not right to build it adjacent to the compound of the building, as there are Muslim houses, while Hindu leaders say that it is a government place and is already reserved for Murin Katta. There is no doubt about it being scrapped.
