A tractor with two farmers on it overturned during a stunt at the Delhi-Noida border on Tuesday morning, as scores of protesters gathered here for demonstration against the new farm laws.
After being stopped by police at several places on Sunday, farmers briefly blocked the Agra-Bareilly highway in Etah district
AGRA: To prevent farmers from travelling to Delhi for the Republic Day tractor parade, more than 100 farmer leaders have been allegedly put under house arrest in Agra region on Sunday.
Strict checks of vehicles at district borders are being conducted by police and tractors are being stopped from proceeding towards Delhi. Farmers alleged that fuel stations have been instructed not to give diesel to tractors .
After being stopped by police at several places on Sunday, farmers briefly blocked the Agra-Bareilly highway in Etah district. In Mathura, farmers blocked the Yamuna expressway for around 30 minutes resulting in long queues of vehicles.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the implementation of the new farm laws till further orders and constituted a four-member committee to resolve the deadlock between the Centre and farmers unions protesting at Delhi borders. The kisan organisations have stated since that the issue is between them and the central government, that they have not gone to the court, and will continue with their stir.
LiveLaw reported Chief Justice of India SA Bobde as saying during the hearing, “We don t understand either why old people and women are kept in the protests. Anyway, that is a different matter.” On Tuesday, just before the interim order, advocate AP Singh said that women, senior citizens and children will not participate in the protest. Singh claimed to be representing Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhanu).
