Bharatiya Janata Party Assam unit President Ranjeet Dass on Wednesday claimed that the massive protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in the state would not make any political difference in the Assembly elections this year, and that his party would trounce the Congress-led alliance easily,
The Hindu reported.
The 126-member Assam Assembly will go to polls in three phases on March 27, April 1, and April 6. The results will be out on May 2.

GUWAHATI: Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday said he is confident that Bharatiya Janata Party will win the upcoming Assam Assembly Polls due to pro-incumbency sentiments of the state.
Tomar, who is BJP s election in-charge of upcoming state elections was in Guwahati to launch the mobile app My BJP .
Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Minister Tomar said, Due to pro-incumbency, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win Assam Assembly polls and form the government in the state again. We will meet every voter on the voter list and understand their minds and for this particular thing we shouldn t waste any time and reach every voter .

Guwahati, Jan 10 : BJP national President JP Nadda would arrive in Assam on Monday on a two-day visit and address a public rally in Silchar to kick-start the ruling party s campaigning for the coming Assembly elections, party leaders said on Sunday.
Bharatiya Janata Party s Assam unit General Secretary Rajdeep Roy said that besides addressing the public gathering at the Police Parade Ground in Silchar on Monday, Nadda would also meet with senior party leaders.
