Hyderabad: Time To End WFH, Says Health Director, What Will The IT Sector Say?

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Director of Public Health and Family Welfare Dr G. Srinivasa Rao on Tuesday stated that the third wave of Covid-19 has almost come to an end and it was time to put an end to Work From Home (WFH) and people return to their office spaces. The Director said the third wave which began on December 28 and peaked on January 28 has since been on the decline.

Bharani Kumar Aroll, President, HYSEA× To set up Cloud Centre of Excellence, Women Leaders’ Forum Contrary to popular perception there has been no significant reduction in the office space by the IT and BPO firms in Hyderabad. “We have recently conducted a survey among the IT firms in Hyderabad. No company told us that they are reducing the space or not renewing their lease agreements,” Bharani Kumar Aroll, President of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) told BusinessLine. Some of the IT SMEs did face the issue of cash flow initially. “But since the demand for IT and digitisation have gone up as the pandemic progressed, the situation has improved of late,” he said.

New script in Telangana govt schools: Coding in Telugu | Hyderabad News

Representative image HYDERABAD: Move over English, coding in Telangana’s government schools will now be taught in Telugu, in a new move that could see scores of students queuing up to learn the programming language in their mother tongue. Authorities said with students who are not well-versed in English and shying away from learning this skill, it has been decided to start courses in Telugu to encourage youngsters. “As a pilot, we will start the programme in 50 schools in the coming academic year. Soon, it will be extended to all other schools in the district,” said Vijaya Kumari, district education officer (Medchal-Malkajgiri district) where the project will be kick-started.
